A proud history of action and results

Langley Seniors in Action has brought the collective voice of seniors to the table and made a real difference in the Langley community. Here is a quick list of our accomplishments over the past seven years.

2021

  • Planned and executed a Seniors Social Isolation Summit with keynote speaker, BC Seniors Advocate, Isobel Mackenzie and local experts on seniors' issues. The summit was attended by over 50 older adults, community organization leaders and local government representatives.
As a result of the Summit, a collaboration with multiple community partners launched the Seniors Social Isolation survey. To read more and see the reports,

  • Launched a new, no tech, virtual Seniors Centre. Seniors Centre Without Walls delivers social opportunities geared toward people who are lonely or isolated twice a week by telephone. To read more, click here.

  • Collaborated with Langley Seniors Resources Society and the Aldergrove Legion to deliver 2 All-Candidate information sessions focused on seniors during the federal election.
